Pookie is angry and wanted only a small picture of her to be shown, because last time some visitors thought she were "wordless" but she insists : She never is !
On Sunday I visited the exposition of precolumbian art in Brussels and I have to say that most of the exposed items just made me wordless ! Can you imagine that this vase and the stone figurine had been created in 400 before JC ! It would still be very modern today and probably called "modern" (!!) art !
THAT is phenomenal! (not wordless - but I'm SO glad you spoke!) And isn't it CUTE??? I would love to HAVE it! Ohhhhh... how much do you suppose it would cost me? (eek!) Well... I might "settle" for that nifty orange pitcher that Pookie seems to like! I LOVE that too!
Please send Pookie over to view my WW! I think he will have a FINE appreciation for Freedom's activities today!
Great picture! I´d love to visit the exposition - is it still open?

Gattina, I think your Pookie is sharp looking! Thank you for sharing the art work.I could never get over there to see it in person.Your cat would love to visit my bird on my site. Take care, Baba

Pookie is very pretty, even from the back. The one vase in the second pic reminds me of a skunk. They are all neat.

I like the vase, you're right you wouldn't think it was that old.

Maybe we just imagine that evolution has occured.... *lmao*
Actually sometimes I really wonder, since it seems to go backwards when it comes to certain things....
Anyway, wonderful art objects. An excellent post as usual :-)
Those are so interesting.
I too like to collect pieces like these. Are they expensive? Good find.
Happy Wednesday!

Love the not so modern art, i am glad the links worked today.
Pookie still looks cute anyway.
What did you learn in school about that? Nothing I suppose. Have you been to the Antropological Museum in Mexico DF? If not - go at once.
Great entry
