Pookie's mondays ! She is thursty because, she said, we had celebrated too much !
No, this is not quite true, but we were invited to an Indian restaurant, by our Indian friend, for his wife's birthday and his retirement.
About 45 people were invited and as so often in Waterloo, many nationalities found themselves around the tables.
They were from Bresil, India, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, UK and I surely forgot some others. We had a lot of fun and no language problems as most of them spoke more than two other languages. We knew each other for many years, but hadn't seen us for quite a long time. Most of the people were parents of classmates from their son who was the first friend of our son, because when they met for the first time they both were 3 weeks old. We have a picture of both of them, laying side by side, one with a lot of black hair, looking like a hedgehog and the other like a punk, nearly bold with just some blond hairs standing up in the middle.
I know my friend since 1965, we worked together in the same company and he married a french girl two years after our wedding.
What I wanted to point out here is, that no matter from where you come , people usually get always very well together, you can also fight with your neighbour, for that you don't need somebody from another country.
After a very nice indian supper, indian dancers made a show for us, which was really very nice. Here are some pictures.
After the Indian dances, girls from the french island "Ile Maurice" danced too
more pictures of the dancers are here
FOR CLICK & COMMENT participants :
I followed the blogroll the whole day. Besides the recommendation : to leave a well thought comment, there were no post for C&C at all.
But I commented anyway and not only with "nice pictures" when there were only a text !

Sounds like a great party. :) Thanks for sharing the photos - they look terrific. :)
I also like the photo of Pookie. :)
Happy Click & Comment Monday. :)
Hi Gattina. :) Thanks for stopping by.
"Rent My Blog" is a program run by Blog Explosion, where a thumbnail of your site shows up on the rented blog for a week, as a way to get additional visitors. You can read more about it here:

I loved the pictures of the dancers....beautiful!
And, it sounds like you had a wonderful evening.
By the way, thanks for visiting my blog and always leaving me a message! : )
Have a nice day and a Happy Thanksgiving.
Hi Gattina! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Love the pictures of the dancers! They are wonderful. It sounds like you really had a great time at the party.
As Caylynn said, Rent My Blog is a program run by Blog Explosion. My "renter" is always located at the top of my sidebar on the right of my blog.
At the time you posted to my blog, I had not yet posted my Click & Comment Monday post, so that is why it was not found. I changed the profile link in the "Me" section from "Who AM I?" to "About: AKA Profile" if you want to go back and take a look.
I apologize if my blog is a little disconcerting, but it is a standard 2-column blog. I've just added my own images for the the background. I'm not sure what I can do to make it easier to navigate; all the important links are marked as Filing (Categories) or Retro (Archives). Let me know if you have any suggestions to make it easier to read.
Wow! Indian dancers, how interesting to see. Sounds like a great party!
My click & comment madness just started... I had to make a new banner for it too.
Must save that duck. Quack :-)
Sounds like a fun party with great dancers, too!
have to check out that click and comment thing. Mondays are slow. We want to save the duck!
:)
Looks like a grea time, hope the food was good too!
In answer to your question: The afaghan is the dog, the afghan is a blanket -sorry I wasn't clear about that. Sorry too that my blog is so long, I don't get to talk much, and I type pretty fast, soon I have a 5 page blog and only you and Mrs. Angry to read it for me!! Not Even Claudia or Grammie seem to stop by anymore, guess I made them mad saying I don't celebrate.
As for cooking on holiday, you bet I do, I have trouble trusting restaurants where cooks and waiters are only paid minimum wages and get made because they serve rich people (in their opinion) and maybe spit in the food, or the cook makes something with gravy that is spoiled. My boyfriends dad got poisoning on a holiday and spent 3 extra days in the bathroom because of bad cooking in a restaurant. I know my hands are clean and the food is fresh when I cook it!!
Now, please don't shoot the duck!!
I tried the link thing but it has me totally confused. The link is buried under another button.
Anyways, I'll go to the site above me and leave them a comment.
Your party sounds fun..
Don't hurt the poor duck..
