KINDERGARDEN FOR MEN ?

8 days in Turkey

PC Pookie (she told me to mention that PC has nothing to do with computers, but means personal cat) listened to my writing intentions while she thoroughly cleaned her furr.

Indeed I had heard in the german TV News that they tried a new invention (a beta thing like Blogger) about a kind of Kindergarten for men. This of course made my ears stand up !

The idea was coming from a very good intention. Usually men hate going shopping but on the other hand, their beloved partner wants them to come. Sometimes only for being the chauffeur or as carrier for the weekly shopping . Then he is pushing the caddie, loaded with interesting things like washing powder, cleaning products, paper towles, toilet paper etc.or he walks behind her with hanging shoulders and waits until it's over.

For that reason, a shopping mall has decided to open a kindergarten for men. This was a nice and cosy bar, with comfortable armchairs and seats, little tables and society games, play cards and of course TV. There the women can drop her husband and leave him in good company with other shopping victims. They can chat, play and drink together and when madame has finished with her shopping she will find a happy man who just made some new friends and had already an appointment for the next week ! And there is no danger for him being attacked by a women, as I have never heard of a woman who goes shopping without shopping.

That really is a great idea. If we would have this over here I am sure my husband would love to go shopping. For the moment he stays home or he comes with me, but then at the entrance we part. I go shopping, pushing my overloaded caddie myself and he usually is squatting the computer department. When I have finished with my shopping, I ring him three times with my mobile and then we meet at the check out. Otherwise he would drive me crazy by tapping impatiently with his foot on the floor and turning his eyes to the ceiling, looking for some invisible things, while I am busy with toilet paper to find a cheap but comfortable mark.

Definitively that's a great idea and a new business to create. I really am at 100 % for it and you ? Pookie now finished with her cleaning work, settled down to start another work ...... sleeping !

Another good thing in shopping malls.

Just a quick visit for now, Gattina, as I have to go out early. I am especially pleased to meet you blogging. I lived in Belgium for three years in the 1970s when my husband worked in Brussels. We had a house in Astridlaan in Wezembeek-Oppem, and the children went to the British School in Tervuren. As I already spoke French I decided to learn Flemish while I was there, but had only just began to get a feel for it when we had to come back to the UK again. Which is your native language? Back soon ....

What a great idea! Even I would go to the mall if I could socialice with other shopping victims. If they have an wireless internet connection, I could bring my lap top and do some blogging too LoL.
Wish you a lovely week:-)

It sure is worth a try! I much prefer leaving mine at home. He gets hot in the summer sitting in the car waiting or cold in the winter sitting in the car waiting.
Another good blog my friend!

Interesting idea, but I think when men have to go shopping with us if they get the chance they already run off to the nearest bar. LOL

My hubby and I don't shop much either, but mostly because I use shopping as an excuse to get out of the house and leave him with the boys. ;)

INTERESTING cartoon....

My human male is pretty good at shopping; he even has been known to buy me treats. Of course, he calls it "hunting."

Purrs!

I so would have loved that idea - if I had another husband than Mr L, because he is a gift to have with you shopping! It's true! He is marvelous, he is better than me on it. He find clothes for me and he is patient. Heavenly.

So we'll end up in that bar together and no shopping done - or totally wrong shopping done after some "reffreshing" drinks ;-)

That is funny.
Can our Sons go there too?
These days my Sons, 18 and 20 do alot of that driving me to the store thing.
The best is the day I went to the wool shop for 10 min and came back to the car 11/2 hrs later.
My Son had fallen asleep in the car and did not notice how long I had been gone. So he wasn't mad at me.Whew!

mine is up
